Tixly Updates: Introducing Spotlights

Keeping up with software updates can be challenging when you're managing a busy venue. Reading through detailed release notes about every new feature often takes a backseat to day-to-day operations and audience service. That's why we're introducing Tixly Spotlights: short video walkthroughs embedded directly in our release notes that demonstrate what's new and how it benefits your operations.

What Are Tixly Spotlights?

Starting now, most Tixly updates will include a Spotlight video, a focused 2-5 minute demonstration presented by Sam Chacon, our Client & QA Specialist. Instead of reading about a new feature, you'll see it in action: what it does, how to use it, and the specific challenges it addresses for performing arts venues.

Whether we're introducing finance export improvements, mobile wallet updates, or more substantial feature releases, Spotlights provide clear, visual explanations. They're embedded directly in the release notes, so you can review them at your convenience. While Spotlights are presented in English, our written release notes remain available in all local languages.

What Are Release Notes?

If you haven't explored our release notes before, they serve as a comprehensive record of every update, improvement, and fix we make to our event ticketing software. Each time we release new features, refine existing tools, or address issues, we document it in our release notes.

Release notes function as your reference for understanding Tixly's evolving capabilities. New reporting features, improved subscription workflows, enhanced administrative tools, they're all documented there. This ensures you're aware of capabilities that could streamline your ticketing operations or solve specific challenges you're facing.

Most software companies publish release notes, but they're often technical, dense, or difficult to navigate. Spotlights are designed to bridge that gap between documentation and practical understanding.

Why Video Walkthroughs Matter

Not everyone processes information best through written documentation. Some users need to see a feature demonstrated to understand its application. Others simply need a faster way to evaluate whether a new capability is relevant to their workflow.

Spotlights address these different needs. You can watch a brief demonstration between tasks, share it with your team for training purposes, or revisit it when you're ready to implement the feature. The information mirrors what's in our written release notes, delivered in a more accessible format.

Where to Find Tixly Spotlights

Visit our Product Updates to access our release notes and the latest Tixly Spotlights. We typically publish updates once per month, and going forward, most releases will include Spotlight videos embedded alongside the written documentation.

We're committed to making Tixly easier to use, not only through the features we develop, but in how we communicate about them. Spotlights represent another step in that direction.
