Key takeaways
We’ve had several big wins over the last several months that we are proud of, from expanding into new territories, to helping new, state-of-the-art venues prepare for their grand openings, to renewing our valued partnerships with historically significant Opera Houses, Concert Halls and Culture Houses, leveraging Tix Ticketing to modernise.
Growing Ticketing Solution in the UK
We’re so proud of our footprint in the UK, which began just over a year ago and is led by Ken Paul, our UK Operations Manager, whose career includes roles at SeatGeek, Ent Ticketing Solutions, Nimax Theatres and Delfont Mackintosh. In a short period of time, our UK team has attracted customers like The Turbine Theatre at Battersea Power Station, the soon-to-be-live and highly anticipated Bechstein Hall. We are also thrilled to be the engine behind ArtsTickets.co.uk. A growing number of ticketing and venue management professionals in the UK, who have seen our successes in other territories, are glancing in our direction to assist with their ticketing, donor, CRM and CMS needs.
We’re looking forward to introducing our team and solutions to more venues and Culture organisations in the UK at the upcoming TPC event in Birmingham.
Tixly in The Netherlands and Belgium
In November 2021, we announced Het Concertgebouw had selected Tixly. Het Concertgebouw is one of an increasing number of well-respected venues in The Netherlands looking at simplifying their ticketing operations though Tixly's robust ticketing system.
“Tixly offers The Concertgebouw a complete ticketing solution that fits in well with its many high demands. We are certain that Tix will provide us with a future-proof system and during the implementation they have proven that new developments had a very short lead time.
The UX of the system is very user-friendly for the many different colleagues who will use it on a daily basis. Finally, the cooperation with the Tix team is very pleasant, the team is proactive and constantly offers useful solutions. We look forward to a long-term relationship with Tixly.”
–Suzanne Verweij, Team Manager ICT, Het Concertgebouw
We’ve also welcomed Internationaal Theater Amsterdam, a leading light in Dutch Theatre and a beacon for contemporary theatre that caters to audiences from Amsterdam and around the world through its 600 pluriform national and international theatre and dance performances annually. Additionally, they offer social programmes that appeal to a wide range of audiences, focusing on education, development and collaboration.
Tix Ticketing recently went live with La Monnaie / De Munt, “a federal opera house in the center of Europe” located in Brussels, Belgium, and considered one of Europe’s most innovative opera houses, where you can see streamed productions like The Golden Cockerel (“Opera as a Comment on our Current Reality”) or attend Puccini’s Il trittico. Le Monnaie / De Munt was originally built in 1700. The opera house’s rich history informs its innovative modernisation and we are happy to serve an important role in its future.
Tixly continues leading in The Nordics, adding venues in Sweden, Denmark, and renewing with customers in Norway
Stavanger Konserthus, who was already a Tixly customer, renewed with us after a rigorous tender process, is located by the sea in Sandvigå, about 700 meters north-west of the marketplace. The 1500-seat concert hall, with its world-class acoustics, is primarily designed for music, but the advanced technology it incorporates makes it possible to be easily converted from a concert arena into a conference and exhibition hall. Stavanger Concert Hall features 3 unique event spaces in addition to its available open spaces for accommodating smaller events.
Upon renewal, Stavanger Concert Hall said of Tixly:
Among the most important features in a great ticketing system, is the flexibility and "easy to use" factor we need when operating several venues, and serving a variety of customers. Also, ways to easily organise subscriptions and series. We find all that in Tixly, besides a support team always ready to find good solutions.
Kulturhuset Stadsteatern joined our Tix Ticketing family in February 2022. Located in the heart of the Swedish capital, Stockholm, Kulturhuset Stadsteatern features multiple theater halls, art galleries, cinemas, restaurants and a library. Kulturhuset Stadsteatern is one of the biggest culture houses in northern europe, selling more than 500,000 tickets for over 5000 events per year.
In addition to the size and exceptional reputation of the venue, the interesting aspects of their engagement with Tix Ticketing is their need to integrate their finance and invoicing systems, salary and employee systems, along with improving their CRM and website connections. Kulturhuset Stadsteatern also recently implemented the venue management system from our friends at YesPlan.
