Tixly partners with The Lowry, Salford

We're proud to announce a new partnership with The Lowry in Salford - one of the UK's most celebrated arts centres and a venue that has shaped the cultural life of Greater Manchester for 25 years.

The Lowry, Salford

The Lowry opened on Salford Quays in April 2000 and has welcomed over 18.5 million visitors since. A registered charity and national arts organisation, it brings performing and visual arts together across three spaces: the 1,730-seat Lyric - the largest stage in the UK outside London's West End - the 466-seat Quays Theatre, and a flexible Studio. Its programme spans drama, opera, dance, West End musicals, comedy and children's shows throughout the year.

The venue also holds the world's largest public collection of works by Salford-born artist L.S. Lowry - over 400 paintings and drawings on permanent, free display. Alongside its performance programme, The Lowry runs an extensive Learning & Engagement programme across local communities and a dedicated artist development strand supporting creatives to experiment and grow their practice. It's a venue that takes its role in the city seriously, and that comes through in everything it does.

What this partnership means

Tixly's platform will go live at The Lowry later in 2026, supporting ticketing operations across the venue's full programme.

"We're incredibly excited to launch our new ticketing platform and the opportunities it brings. It will give our audiences a smoother, more intuitive booking experience and make it easier for people to discover the full breadth of our programme. Importantly, this transition also strengthens QuayTickets - enhancing the service we provide not only to Lowry but to our wider family of partner venues and clients. We're delighted to be embarking on this new partnership and the transformation it will support."

Rachel Miller, Director, Lowry & QuayTickets

"We are incredibly proud to be partnering with The Lowry. It is one of the UK's great cultural institutions, and what the team there has built over 25 years, both on stage and in the community, is something we have long admired. Joining forces with a venue of this scale and reputation is a real statement of where Tixly is heading, and we are looking forward to supporting The Lowry as they continue to welcome audiences from across the country."

Hrefna Sif Jónsdóttir, Managing Director, Tixly

The Lowry joins a strong and growing client base in the UK, and this partnership builds on the momentum we've built across the UK market. We're looking forward to going live later this year.
