Revolutionising the European ticketing scene for the last eight years, Tixly has become one of the fastest-growing ticketing platforms in the industry. With a reputation for transparency, user-friendliness, and quality, Tixly has gained a strong foothold in the ticketing industry with a unique focus on the culture and the arts segment.

As Tixly expands its presence to the DACH market, which consists of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, it has made a strategic key hire to lead its venture. Tixly has recruited Magdalena Menheere who is joining Tixly from the Bundestheater in Vienna. Magdalena will become the Business Development Manager in the DACH market and she’s the ideal person to lead the expansion, with years of experience - having been led into ticketing by her passion for music and people and at Tixly, these passions will be put to good use.

With the support of Tixly's Managing Director, Hrefna Sif Jónsdóttir, who has relocated to Munich to oversee this expansion, Magdalena is passionate about introducing Tixly to a new market. Hrefna’s relocation also means she’s in an even better position to support our loyal clients even better to ensure we service all of our clients at the highest level.

Magdalena started her career at the Jeunesse (Musikalische Jugend Österreich) in Vienna and then moved to the Musikverein (Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Wien) for many years, where she learned how a cultural institution works from the ground up. In 2019, she joined the Bundestheater-Holding and became the project manager of the company's biggest organisational project in 20 years. She managed the new ticketing software for the Austrian Federal Theatres tender process, coordinating an internal team of nearly 200 users, four theaters, and responsible for the sale of 1.4 million tickets per year.

Magdalena's years of experience and vast network make her the ideal person to lead Tixly's efforts in expanding into the DACH market. Her recent project managing a complex software tender process for a major cultural industry player in Austria taught her that it all comes down to one thing: people. She knows that ticketing, ultimately, is about creating a great experience for the people attending events. In such a highly social industry, having someone who understands the people is a game changer.

We believe our entry to the new region is well-timed and with Magdalena’s appointment as Business Development Manager we are especially excited about the expansion. With over 20 years of experience in ticketing and extensive network of connections, Magdalena can confidently bring new clients to the fold in the region.

“I’m very much looking forward to joining Tixly now in the coming month. I’ve watched their growth journey and I’m excited to be a part of it and introduce their powerful ticketing software in my home region. Their values and company culture perfectly align with my own and therefore I’m grateful for the opportunity and am equally excited to see where we can take the company in the DACH market in the coming months and years.”

Magdalena Menheere, Business Development Manager in the DACH Market

“We are beyond thrilled to have Magdalena join Tixly. She brings incredible knowledge both of ticketing and of the new region, so she will be a great addition to our team as we now offer our intuitive and robust event ticketing software in these countries. I look forward to working with Magdalena personally, as is the rest of the Tixly team. Her customer centric approach and love for culture and people ensures she’ll fit right in and we look forward to seeing where this journey will take Tixly in the DACH market.”
