Our partnership with Trafalgar Tickets, Tixly’s biggest client in the UK, was announced in the spring and now the go-live is finally here. The first phase went live on Tuesday 15th August, with all of Trafalgar’s venues being implemented by Tixly in the coming months. Anticipation was high on both sides, with key Tixly developers and management staff on site in the UK to ensure a successful launch. Tixly is a leading provider in software solutions for the culture market with an innovative event ticketing software providing services to over 100 venues and cultural organisations around the world, including some of the world's most respected venues such as Musikhuset Aarhus, Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Kulturhuset Stadsteatern in Stockholm.

Trafalgar Tickets is the ticketing division of Trafalgar Entertainment’s growing theatre venue business founded by Sir Howard Panter and Dame Rosemary Squire in 2017. Trafalgar Tickets was created in 2021 to create a consumer-centric ticketing service for Trafalgar Theatres’ portfolio of venues, which welcomes over 2 million patrons annually. Most recently Trafalgar Theatres acquired the Pavilion Theatre in Glasgow, and will open the ground-breaking Olympia Theatre in 2025, the biggest new permanent theatre to open in London since the 1970s.

Trafalgar Tickets is a major player in the UK ticketing scene with rigorous demands for their ticketing system requirements. They chose Tixly as their new event ticketing software provider and will be using Tixly's cutting-edge solutions to offer their clients a seamless ticketing experience. Trafalgar Tickets’s primary objective to be the leading ticketing service in their class with customer centricity at heart will be aided by introducing Tixly’s intuitive and robust ticketing software, allowing them to focus on delivering exceptional service to their clients.

“I am thrilled we have found a partner in Tixly whose approach to technology and product development is so aligned with our own. We share a desire to reimagine how customers and producers interact with our venues. By leveraging Tixly’s advanced feature set within our technology stack, we will be able to unlock commercial opportunities and accelerate our growth ambitions in the UK and internationally, whilst delivering better services to producers and promoters.”

Johan Oosterveld, Trafalgar Tickets’ CEO

Tixly developers have been working closely with Trafalgar Tickets to ensure that the transition is smooth, having completed a successful pilot the first stage of the full-scale rollout has been a triumph.

“We are confident that our software will offer Trafalgar Tickets and their clients an unprecedented level of service, with fast and smooth ticket transactions, robust and secure data management, as well as providing an intuitive platform for all of Trafalgar’s team and venues. We are extremely excited about the collaboration and look forward to seeing where this journey takes both Tixly and Trafalgar.”

Hrefna Sif Jónsdóttir, Tixly’s Managing Director

Furthermore, Tixly is committed to an ongoing partnership with Trafalgar Tickets, to create stronger synergies and ensure that both partners remain at the forefront of ticketing innovation. This will benefit all of Tixly’s clients, being present in multiple European countries and the US with a new entry into the DACH market imminent.
