Tixly's focus on employee satisfaction and mental wellbeing has been enhanced with the implementation of an internal mental health policy. Tixly partnered with Mental Consulting, an experienced team of expert managers, therapists and more, to get a comprehensive assessment of their employee's mental health through interviews, focus groups, and surveys. Following the assessment, Tixly formed committees that brought together employees from all levels and departments. This approach ensured that the voice of the employees was heard and that their input was valuable in shaping the organisation's mental health policy. The action items derived from the assessment were found to be helpful in improving the daily operation of the company on various levels for the benefit of the employees.

Aside from the internal mental health policy, Tixly also partnered with Kara Connect. Kara Connect is an Icelandic company that offers an extensive EAP platform, with expert services across all industries, including therapists, lawyers, sleep therapy and more. This partnership ensures that Tixly's employees have access to any services they may personally need.

Rather than relying on quick fixes, Tixly's internal mental health policy focuses on sustainable mental health practices. The policy includes proactive measures that seek to prevent mental health issues from arising in the first place. In addition, the policy emphasizes the importance of maintaining work-life balance, instilling healthy habits, and addressing issues before they escalate. By adopting this approach, Tixly is ensuring that its employees have access to the support they need and that its workplace culture promotes mental health and wellbeing.

Tixly's commitment to sustainable mental health for their employees is commendable in the ticketing business, and the company's dedication towards employee welfare is not new.

“Having gone through a stroke while expanding the company and the after-effects for the past two years, I know from first hand experience how crucial it is to take good care of yourself, both physically and mentally. Therefore this project with Mental Consulting is incredibly important to me personally. I want Tixly to be known as a leader for prioritising our employee's mental health. This implementation is a huge step in that direction and we look forward to proactively upholding this work for years to come.”

Sindri Már Finnbogason, Tixly’s Head of Product & Founder

“Tixly has taken this implementation head on and it’s been incredible working with such a positive and powerful team. We can see definite improvements within the company and they’ve taken our meticulous approach and applied it with great results so far. We look forward to following the project through as we are in the final phase and then watch Tixly’s journey in the future. We know the ROI companies can find when they prioritise their employee’s well-being and the Mental Consulting framework is a powerful tool companies can adjust to their own operations, leading to greater employee satisfaction.”
