Tixly at Ticketing Business Forum and Award Nominations

We cannot wait to see everyone in Manchester this week for our return to the Ticketing Business Forum, where we will share our views on the future of the box office, showcase our exceptional ticketing software and celebrate our two nominations at the Ticketing Business Forum Awards! We are bringing a bigger team from across our European offices to meet new potential customers, colleagues and maybe even recruit future employees.

Tixly expands to new markets

We have so many new milestones, from our growth across Scandinavia to our expansion into the Europe over the last year, to the exceptional team and customers we’ve onboarded, who are driving our growth.

In a recent interview with The Ticketing Business, we discussed our expansion into new markets, and how proud we are that renowned venues across Europe are choosing Tix Ticketing as their ticketing software solution, such as The Turbine Theatre on the banks of the Thames in London, The ZODIAK - Center for New Dance in Helsinki, Finland and Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and Kulturhuset Stadsteatern in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Future of Ticketing software and Modernising the Box Office

We see the future of ticketing encompassing more than the event ticket purchase itself. It creates an immersive experience for the ticket buyer by incorporating conveniences across their event experience, whether how to handle ticket exchanges to making merchandise and concession purchases in advance or on their mobile device at the event. This is guiding our direction,  where we can take our platform and services, from developing a robust yet light-weight, cloud-based system that eliminates cumbersome installations and superfluous integrations, to designing contemporary CRM tools that enable customer segmentation and insightful sales reports.

As it becomes increasingly imperative for the box office to live wherever and whenever potential patrons consume content online, we consider the contemporary content management features that will help our customers quickly and easily create email and online promotions, connected through high quality APIs to automatically update their sites with the latest information and events. We strongly believe there are significant untapped opportunities for creating integrated, shoppable merchandising and concessions packages, alongside ticketing, to offer patrons new, convenient, fun options and importantly, new revenue opportunities for venues and event producers.

You can learn more about our views of the future, our design inspiration and our software on December 2, 2021 at 11am on the West Stage, as Einar Gústafsson, VP of Product & Engineering, Tixly, discusses how iconic brands like Lego, Ikea and Volvo, known for their elegant simplicity as for their use of Scandinavian design principles, can inspire the future of ticketing.

We will share how the future of ticketing reflects the same clean, sturdy, easy-to-implement design without sacrificing beauty and robust functionality. We will show how infusing Scandinavian design principles with Icelandic tenacity and problem-solving helps venues and performing arts organisations quickly modernise their box office and sites, make the ticketing and merchandising purchase journeys engaging, and how implementing integrated, contemporary promotions tools helps build audiences.

Ticketing Business Awards Nominations Disruptor Award and Executive Of The Year

The Tixly team was thrilled to see our efforts across Benelux acknowledged in the nomination for the Disruptor Award. In the last year, we’ve added some truly remarkable customers in this region such as deSingelOpera Ballet VlaanderenTheater aan de Parade,  Luxor Theater,  TAQA Theater De VestGrote Kerk AlkmaarThe Agora Theater and The NTK. Combined with our existing successes in Iceland and across the Nordics, and our early traction in Benelux as we expand across Europe, is motivating to our team and validates our views of where we want to take the future of ticketing software.

Our vision for the future of ticketing software and services is driven by our Founder and CEO, Sindri Már Finnbogason. It is so exciting for us to celebrate his leadership and have the Ticketing industry acknowledge Sindri specifically with the nomination of Executive of the Year! We're so proud to be on his team.
